The US American graphic designer David Carson is known for his unconventional graphic style that revolutionized the graphic design scene in America.

David Carson was the art director for the magazine Ray Gun, where he employed much of the typographic and layout approach for which he is known. In particular, his widely imitated aesthetic defined the so-called "grunge typography" era. Apple called Carson "A pioneer with profound impact" and the Creative Review magazine named Carson ”the art director of the era”. He is the recipient of graphic design’s highest awards, the AIGA Gold.

David will discuss his new work, and book with particular attention to the importance of intuition in ones work and pulling from within to do your best and most enjoyable, work. David was the closing keynote speaker at the Offf Barcelona festival 2019, the FITC Toronto 2019 and at the Dribble Hang Time in NYC 2019. Clients include airlines, car brands and large technology companies as well as magazines as Nine Inch Nails and SURFER Magazine.
